11 ETHIOPIANS ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL ENTRY IN MALAWI

The Immigration Department has arrested 11 Ethiopians on suspicion that they entered the country illegally.

Francis Chitambura, immigration’s spokesperson said, the suspects were found hiding at Hangalawe shores in Karonga district without their valid travel documents.

The other 20 Ethiopians were also arrested for illegal entry nine days ago while hiding at Mwanda and Kakozi mountains at Hewe in Rumphi district.

However, the suspects are yet to appear in Court to answer charges levelled against them
