A driver identified as Adamson Luhanga, 49, has died in a road accident after his truck loaded with fuel overturned in Chikwawa escarpment.
Chikwawa police publicist Sergeant Dickson Matemba says the accident occurred at Saidi Village near Bend Number 24 along Blantyre Chikwawa M1 road.
“The truck was descending Chikwawa escarpment and upon arrival at the said place, the driver lost control and swerved to the extreme right side where the truck overturned,” says Matemba.
He adds that the driver was pronounced dead upon arrival at Chikwawa District Hospital following severe head injury.
Luhanga came from Mwandama Village in the area of Traditional Authority Kyungu in Karonga District.
