Jenda Police Seizes 27 Motorcycles Over Traffic Violation

Police at Jenda in Mzimba District have seized 27 motorcycles from kabaza motorcycle operators in an effort of reducing road accident in the district.
Spokesperson for Jenda Police, MacFarlane Mseteka, has confirmed the development and said this has happened on Wednesday during the operation of apprehending motorcycles in violation of road traffic regulations.
The offenses related to this seizure, are riding without helmets, over-speeding, riding without licenses, using unregistered motorcycles, uninsured motorcycles, and carrying more than one passenger,” said Msteteka.
Mseteka has therefore assured people in the district that police will return motorcycles to the owners with affine ask them to buy helmets. To register their motorbike and obtaining licence, failing to do so, police will do their job.
