Lilongwe Workers Denied Entry to Parliament Over Salary Grievances

Police providing security at Parliament have turned back Lilongwe shop workers who attempted to submit a letter of complaint, citing that they did not follow proper procedures.

Lilongwe Shops and Domestic Workers Association chairman, Mr. Jafali Abdul, expressed regret over the situation but vowed to find another way to present their salary grievances.

Additionally, the group reported that some of their members have been arrested following their planned protest this morning.
