Mozambique national arrested for possessing fuel without permit in Mulanje

Police in Mulanje have arrested a Mozambique national for possessing fuel without permit in the district.
Deputy police spokesperson, Hawa Juma, said that they have since seized 190 litres of petrol in two different places and launched a manhunt for a Malawian suspect currently at large over a similar offense.
Juma said that the incidents occurred at Mulanje roadblock and Chitakale Trading Center respectively.
She said that the officers manning the roadblock at Mulanje Boma arrested the Mozambican when he wanted to pass through the roadblock whilst in possession of 120 litres of fuel in five plastic cans on his motorcycle.
The suspect hails from Ngwali Village in the area of Traditional Authority Libanda in Mozambique.
