Two Women and One Man Arrested in Mzimba Over Cannabis Possession

Police in Mzimba have confirmed the arrest of two women and one man on suspicion of being found in possession of a substance believed to be cannabis.
According to Deputy Spokesperson for Mzimba Police Maria Banda, the suspects have been identified as Matias Katumbi (46), Grena Saka (52), and Joyce Jere (41).
Banda stated that concerned citizens tipped off the police, alerting them that the three were transporting cannabis. The suspects were apprehended at a Raiply checkpoint while traveling from Jenda to Mzuzu.
Police investigations are underway to verify the nature of the seized substance and take necessary legal action.
