Mzuzu Court Acquits Mzomera Ngwira, Convicts Councillor Dan Nkosi in CDF Corruption Case

Senior Resident Magistrate Godfrey Nyirenda has acquitted former Mzimba Hora Member of Parliament Christopher Mzomera Ngwira on six counts related to abuse of office, which he was accused of committing during his tenure as MP.
However, the court has found the second accused, former councillor Dan Nkosi, guilty on four counts related to the misuse of public funds. The ruling comes after a case that concluded last year.
The charges were connected to the alleged diversion of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) resources between 2014 and 2019, during which Ngwira served as MP and Nkosi as councillor.
