Principal Secretary Chikumbutso Mtumodzi Dies

Principal Secretary for the Department of Procurement and Supply Services, Chikumbutso Mtumodzi, has died.

Government Spokesperson and Minister of Information Moses Kunkuyu confirmed the passing, saying Mtumodzi fell ill the night before and died early yesterday. Kunkuyu described him as a patriotic and dedicated public servant.

Mtumodzi previously served as Director of Information and was also a respected journalist and procurement expert.

Family representative Leria Mseka Likongwe said funeral details will be announced after consultations.
