The case involving Tumpe Mtaya (Phwedo), accused of defilement and indecent assault, is set to resume today.
Mtaya is expected to enter a plea, either guilty or not guilty, in response to the charges brought by the state.
The state has charged Mtaya with two counts: defilement and indecent assault.
If Mtaya pleads not guilty, the prosecution will present witnesses to prove the case. If found guilty, the court will deliver a verdict and sentence.
The case will be heard by Principal Resident Magistrate Benjamin Chulu.
