Promising afro-amapiano artist Ajuh Guffi from Bangwe has distanced himself from a viral video circulating on social media showing a young boy romantically involved with an older lady.
The video, which has sparked controversy online, is showing a boy resembling Ajuh sitting on a sofa with an older, plus-sized lady appears to seduce him by touching him suggestively.
This led Netzens to speculate that the boy in question was Ajuh, given his rising fame following recent hit songs like “Bwera” and “Chedwa.”
However, Ajuh Guffi has come forward to deny any involvement in the video. Speaking through his manager, Filagama, Ajuh said, “Si ine, musandinamizile ndipo musandipake!” (It’s not me, don’t lie about me, and don’t falsely accuse me!)
Both Ajuh and Filagama have strongly denied that the person in the video is the artist, urging the public to stop spreading false information and tarnishing the young artist’s image.
Despite the controversy, Ajuh Guffi continues to win stage and grow his fanbase, with many appreciating his musical talent and stage presence.
