Man In Balaka Arrested for Possessing Fuel Without Permit

Police in Balaka have arrested a 22-year old man identified as Smart Chimwala on 25 June for allegedly being found in possession of fuel without a license.
According to Balaka Police Deputy Spokesperson Sergeant Mphatso Munthali, the incident happened on Wednesday near Puma Filling Station where Chimwala was found draining fuel from a motorcycle.
Upon searching the scene, police seized 80 liters of fuel.
Chimwala was immediately arrested and is expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to unlawful possession of fuel.
This comes as Malawians continues to face fuel crisis with police urging people to avoid illegal fuel possession.
