UTM’s Chimudima Mhango Hospitalized After Surviving Road Accident

United Transformation Movement’s (UTM) shadow Member of Parliament for Mzimba Kafukule Constituency, Chimudima Mhango, is receiving medical treatment at Ekwendeni Mission Hospital following a serious road accident on the M1 Road in Mzimba District.
The incident occurred at Chinungu, Ekwendeni, while Mhango was traveling to his constituency to attend a funeral. He was accompanied by his wife and daughter when their vehicle overturned.
Speaking from his hospital bed, Mhango described the ordeal as terrifying.
“Our vehicle overturned and rolled three times. I was with my wife and daughter at the time. Fortunately, the child was not injured, but my wife sustained some cuts. We are both currently admitted and receiving treatment,” he said.
Authorities have not yet released further details on the cause of the accident. Mhango is an aspiring Parliamentarian under the UTM banner ahead of the 2025 elections.
