Onesimus Unveiled as Ecobank Malawi Brand Ambassador for New Promo

Ecobank Malawi has officially unveiled celebrated Malawian Afro-pop star Onesimus, also known as “Africa Butter,” as the face of its latest customer campaign, “A Better Way to Transact and Win.”
After weeks of teasing followers with a mystery silhouette on social media, Ecobank revealed the popular artist as its new Brand Ambassador today on 1 July 2025.
The campaign, which will run for two months, promises a series of exciting rewards, pop-up events, and digital engagements aimed at promoting smart and seamless banking.
In a statement shared on its official Facebook page, Ecobank Malawi thanked everyone who participated in the guessing game that led to the big reveal.
“To everyone who guessed right thank you for participating, The list of winners will be published and tagged in a separate post later today,” the bank announced.
Onesimus, known for hits like “Panado” and “Controller,” brings a huge following and vibrant energy to the promotion, making him a fitting face for the campaign’s digital and youth-driven focus.
Ecobank says the partnership with Onesimus is part of its drive to connect with a younger audience and encourage more people to embrace digital banking solutions.
