Court Slapped Gamba 12 Years Jail Term For Chewing Minor In Mchinji

Mchinji First Grade Magistrate’s Court has sentenced a 65-year-old security guard identified as James Mwale, to 12 years imprisonment for defiling a 10-year-old girl in the district.
State prosecutor Linda Kamwinda told the court that the security guard, commonly known as “Gamba” defiled the girl three times between the months of March and June 2025.
The girl’s mother reported the case to police upon observing she was having difficulties in walking and she consequently revealed what has happened.Mwale was arrested earlier this month.
He pleaded guilty in court but prayed for consideration for his old age.
James Gamba Mwale hails from Kadiwa Village, Traditional Authority Msakambewa in Dowa District.
