The case of actor Tumpe Mtaya (Phwedo) is expected to resume in court today in Lilongwe.
The government is expected to present a certificate belonging to the child with whom Mtaya is alleged to have had sexual relations. The certificate is the one the child used for his Form Four examinations last year.
Previously, the court had ordered the government to produce the certificate, but it failed to do so. This led to the adjournment of the case from June 12 to today.
Tumpe Mtaya is facing two charges: child sex abuse and child trafficking.
