Students Protest Poor Meals by Vandalizing School Property at Mtunthama All Saints Secondary School

Information reaching this publication indicates that students at Mtunthama All Saints Secondary School in Kasungu District vandalized and destroyed school property during the night.
Christopher Kapachika Banda, spokesperson for the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, confirmed the incident and said investigations are currently underway to establish the cause of the unrest.
While the official cause is yet to be determined, some local residents suspect the students may have acted out of frustration over the quality of food being served at the school. They allege that the meals do not reflect the amount of school fees paid.
Authorities have yet to provide further details as investigations continue.
