Kasungu Man Arrested for Guest House Theft

Police in Kasungu have arrested 25-year-old Robert Phiri on suspicion of stealing various items from a guest house in Munda Wanga, in the town of Kasungu.
According to Deputy Police Spokesperson Miracle Hauli, the incident occurred on the night of June 5 this year. Phiri is believed to have committed the crime with an accomplice who is still at large.
Hauli said police have recovered some of the stolen items, including a tent, and are continuing their search for the second suspect.
Phiri, who hails from the Mkukula Chiefdom in Dowa, is currently in police custody awaiting trial.
