Nicholas Dausi to Contest Mwanza Central as Independent

Mwanza Central MP Nicholas Dausi has announced that he will contest the constituency again in the September 16 elections, this time as an independent candidate.
He said the decision was influenced by the current political climate.
“You know, I was a member of the DPP all along, but they kicked me out. That’s why I’m contesting independently,” said Dausi.
He added that his election symbol will be the Mandelana Tree.
When asked why he has been quiet on political matters, he responded, “Son, sometimes being quiet is not stupidity.”
