Six members of the Malindi family from Unitaspark, Vereeniging, have been laid to rest after a tragic car accident.
The victims were returning from a funeral in KwaZulu-Natal when their car collided with a truck on the R42 Meyerton–Heidelberg Road on Monday, July 14, 2025.
The crash claimed the lives of David (68), Anna (61), Mhlanganisi (35), Phindile (33), Xolani (27), and three-year-old Lwandle.
Their funeral took place on Saturday, July 19, in an emotional ceremony attended by heartbroken relatives and community members.
The tragedy has deeply shaken the local community, prompting an outpouring of grief and support.
Residents are now calling for urgent road safety improvements along the R42 to prevent future tragedies.
