Rases in Zomba Demand Release of Colleague Arrested for Marijuana Possession

Followers of the Ras faith are at the Zomba Magistrate Court demanding the release of their colleague, Ras Jah Messenger, who was arrested by police for possession of marijuana.
According to Ras Hilikiya Maganizo Mlewa, Jah Messenger obtained the marijuana from a shipping company and intended to use it as incense during a seven-day mass prayer, which began yesterday at Namilongo House in Zomba.
The Ras followers have raised flags at the courthouse, where they are currently gathered.
Earlier this morning, they also went to the Zomba Police Station, where their colleague is being held.
