Kabaza Operator Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Motorcycle Of His Boss In Chiradzulu

Police at Montfort Police Unit in Chiradzulu District have arrested Precious Grey M’bwana on suspicion that he stole a motorcycle valued at K4.7 million, belonging to his boss.
According to Chiradzulu Police spokesperson Cosmas Kagulo, M’bwana works as a motorcycle taxi (kabaza) operator and had reportedly left the motorcycle with his employer on Monday, July 21, claiming he was feeling unwell.
However, the employer later discovered the motorcycle missing and upon questioning M’bwana, he claimed to have left it at the employer’s home.
Following a police investigation, M’bwana was found attempting to sell the same motorcycle at Mkando Market in Mulanje District.
He is currently in police custody and is expected to appear in court soon to answer theft charges.
