The Senior Resident Magistrate Court in Lilongwe has ordered that Felix Magaleta and Adam Tsoka remain in custody for seven more days to allow the state to continue investigations into a robbery case.

This is the first of several cases the duo is facing, as they are among three suspects linked to multiple murder and robbery incidents in Area 25.

State Prosecutor Dalireni Kalanguluka asked the court to grant more time for investigations, noting that some stolen items, including two mobile phones valued at K450,000, believed to belong to the late Brian Thondoya, have not yet been recovered.

Magistrate Wanangwa Nyirenda granted the request, citing legal provisions that allow suspects to be remanded for up to 30 days during ongoing investigations.

The case has been adjourned to July 30, 2025, for further hearing.

Meanwhile, the suspects have been transferred to another court in the city, where they are also expected to face separate murder charges.
