Maxwell Anderson of Milwaukee has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder and dismemberment of 19-year-old Sade Robinson.
He was convicted of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson, although he continues to maintain his innocence.
During sentencing, Judge Laura Crivello called the crime “unconscionable” and said it resembled “something out of a horror story.”
Robinson’s parents gave emotional victim impact statements, with her father saying Anderson deserved the same fate as his daughter.
Anderson’s lawyer requested parole eligibility after 25 years, citing his Navy service and mental health concerns.
The judge denied the request, calling Anderson “irredeemable” and disconnected from reality.
Investigators say Anderson and Robinson met at a bar, later went to his apartment, and that she may have been incapacitated before being killed.
Parts of Robinson’s body were found in multiple locations, but her head was never recovered.
