Two Mozambican Brothers Arrested for Murder of Mchinji Teacher

Police in Mchinji District have arrested two Mozambican nationals in connection with the brutal murder of Frank Aclass Kamzati, a 42-year-old teacher at Tamanimwendo Primary School and Treasurer of Extreme Football Club.
The suspects, identified as Blessings Yohane (24) and Austin Yohane (18), both from Eputala Village, Chief Khamande in Mgunde District, Mozambique, are alleged to have attacked Kamzati on the night of July 29, 2025, at Mzanda Village, under Traditional Authority Mabvwere in Mchinji.
According to Mchinji Police spokesperson Limbani Mpinganjira, the suspects used wooden bars to fatally assault Kamzati. After the attack, they reportedly made away with his Lifan motorcycle, a Tecno Spark 10, and a mini Tecno cellphone. The total value of the stolen items has not yet been established.
Investigations are ongoing as police prepare to bring the suspects before court.
