Pakistani National Arrested in Mzimba for Alleged Airtel Money Fraud

Police in Jenda, Mzimba District, have arrested a 30-year-old Pakistani national, Muhammad Ahamad, on allegations of duping an Airtel Money and Mpamba agent.
According to police, the incident occurred on 16 August 2025, when Ahamad allegedly swindled Gift Mwangala, a mobile money agent, out of K1,560,000 through fraudulent transactions.
Authorities say the suspect is currently in custody as investigations continue.
