Police in Rumphi are keeping in custody four suspects on allegations of housebreaking and theft, where a motorcycle and property valued at over K5 million were stolen.
The suspects have been identified as Patrick Chikumba, 38, John Phiri, 22, Wisdom Mkandawire, 30, and Kenneth Phiri, 20.
Rumphi Police publicist Noel Kamchenga said the four were arrested following investigations and recovery of the stolen items, including the motorcycle.
“The suspects will appear before court soon to answer charges of housebreaking and theft,” Kamchenga said.
Police in the district have since warned would-be offenders that the law will take its course on anyone found engaging in such criminal activities
