Tonderai and Tahera Deny Leaking Miss Malawi Nud3 Scandal -Suspect Arrested

Chief Executive Officer for Entertainer Promotion, Tonderai Banda, and his wife, Tahera, have distanced themselves from allegations linking them to the leak of alleged nudes of former 2022 Miss Malawi second princess, Roberta Kanjelo.

The explicit videos, which went viral on social media, were accompanied by a WhatsApp screenshot suggesting that Tahera had shared them after allegedly discovering that Kanjelo had sent the videos to Tonderai in an attempt to get his attention and pursue an affair.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Tonderai dismissed the accusations as false, saying he had cut short a business trip to return home and deal with the damaging rumours.

“My wife and I had nothing to do with the alleged leaking of nudes belonging to the victim. According to investigations, the victim was in a flirty relationship with a certain newly married man about two or one year ago. She sent the nudes to him before he got married. Allegedly, the nudes were discovered by his wife, who shared them with her friends,” Banda wrote.

He further disclosed that the victim has since filed a police complaint against the husband involved in the matter. As of 7pm on 28 August, police had apprehended suspects linked to the leak, who are expected to appear in court.

Banda added that he and his wife are working with their lawyers to pursue both criminal and civil legal action against those behind what he described as a deliberate attempt to damage their reputation.

The couple has since thanked family and friends for the support they have received.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a woman suspected of leaking the nude images after she found them on her husband’s phone. The suspect spent the night in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today, August 29. Her identity has not yet been disclosed pending formal charges
