The Super League of Malawi (Sulom) Disciplinary Committee has found FCB Nyasa Big Bullets guilty of misconduct during their recent match against Karonga United.
As a result, Bullets have been fined K1 million and handed a ban from using Kamuzu Stadium for the remainder of the season. However, the ban is a suspended sentence lasting three months. This means if the club is found guilty of further misconduct within the next three months, the ban will be activated immediately.
Sulom has further directed that all fines be paid before the team’s next official fixture, warning that failure to comply will result in points deductions.
In its statement, Sulom emphasized its commitment to maintaining discipline and integrity in Malawi’s top-flight league. The governing body urged all clubs to take responsibility for their players, staff, and fans, and to ensure strict adherence to the rules of the game.
“Any future incidents of violence or disorder will be met with appropriate and firm action. Let us all work together to preserve the spirit of football and create a safe environment for everyone,” read part of the statement.
