Odya Zake Alibe Mlandu Councillor Flees After Angry People Vandalize Home For Failing To Pay Monitors

Information reaching this publication indicates that confirmed that several people vandalized the home of Councillor Jawadu Likambale of Mtundawosema kwa Goliati.
The attackers reportedly broke windows, smashed doors, and partially demolished the house. The incident followed the Odya Zake Alibe Mlandu party’s failure to pay polling station monitors for their election duties.
Majawa stated that 120 monitors have not received their payments and urged the party to address the issue urgently.
He also confirmed that Likambale has fled the area with his family for safety.
Meanwhile, the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has reminded all political parties to pay their monitors on time.
