Neno Police Arrest Apex Construction Worker Over Theft of Fuel & Batteries Wealth K5 Million

Police in Neno District have arrested 45-year-old Boniface Raphael on suspicion of stealing goods worth over K5 million from Apex Construction Company, where he is employed as a property manager.
According to Neno Police spokesperson Rebecca Msoliza, the incident occurred on September 29, 2025, when Raphael was assigned to guard a broken down caterpillar at a company site.
However, the following morning, his colleagues visited the site to check on him, only to find he was missing. Upon inspecting the equipment, they discovered that 210 litres of hydraulic oil, 150 litres of diesel fuel, and two batteries had been stolen.
Following investigations, police arrested Raphael and managed to recover the two batteries, 40 litres of hydraulic oil, and an unspecified amount of diesel fuel.
He is expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to theft by servant.
