Man Arrested in Dowa for Illegal Possession of Medical Drugs

Police in Dowa have arrested a 27-year-old man, Madalitso Tsanzo, for allegedly being in possession of essential medical drugs without a valid licence.
The suspect, who comes from Missi Village in the area of Senior Chief Chakhaza, was apprehended on Tuesday around the Mponela Trading Centre following a tip-off from members of the public.
According to Mponela Police Station spokesperson, Sergeant Macpatson Msadala, law enforcement officers acted on the information and conducted a search, during which they found Tsanzo in possession of assorted medical drugs.
Police say investigations are ongoing, and Tsanzo is expected to be charged in relation to the illegal possession of medical supplies.
