Two Brothers Arrested For Beating To Death Suspected Thief In Lilongwe

Police in Kawale, Lilongwe, have arrested two brothers in connection with the death of an unidentified man who was allegedly caught attempting to break into a house in Area 23.
The suspects, identified as Lloyd Owen, 34, and Maxwell Lameck, 26, are accused of assaulting the man after a woman raised an alarm during the attempted break-in.
According to Kawale Police spokesperson Sub-Inspector Mabvuto Phiri, the suspected thief was apprehended and beaten by the two before being taken to Kamuzu Central Hospital, where he later died.
Phiri confirmed that the brothers are expected to appear in court soon to answer murder charges.
