Top UDF Official Yusuf Mwawa Resigns

United Democratic Front (UDF) Director of Political Affairs and longtime member Yusuf Mwawa has officially resigned from the opposition party and withdrawn his membership.
Speaking to Zodiak Online, Mwawa confirmed his departure but declined to reveal the reasons behind his decision to leave the former ruling party.
His resignation follows closely on the heels of another high-profile exit, that of UDF’s Eastern Region Governor, Yaumu Mpaweni, who also recently stepped down from his role in the party.
The back-to-back resignations raise questions about possible internal challenges within the UDF, although no official statement has been issued by the party leadership regarding the developments.
