Police Arrest Man for Possessing Firearm Without Permit in Nkhata Bay

Police in Nkhata Bay District have arrested a 32-year-old man, Madalitso Patulani, on suspicion of possessing a firearm without a permit.
According to Enala Kalua, police spokesperson for the district, the arrest followed a tip-off from members of the public that the suspect was threatening people with a firearm in Kapekenya Village, T/A Malanda.
“Through investigation, Chintheche police were able to arrest the suspect and recover the firearm, which was hidden in his underpants,” the spokesperson said.
Madalitso Patulani comes from Chilele Village, T/A Chakhaza, Salima District.
