Malawians are celebrating after South African rap heavyweight Nasty C finally shared highlights of his Malawi performance on his official social media pages ending days of heated debate, mockery, and controversy.
Nasty C performed on Sunday, 30th November at a sold-out Wanted Tour show hosted by Gwamba at Aero Lounge in Lilongwe. But despite enjoying massive support and a packed venue, the rapper remained silent on all his social platforms after leaving the country.
That silence triggered chaos, for days, sections of some social media users mocked Gwamba, accusing him of being betrayed since Nasty C had not posted anything about the show. Some even suggested the event was a flop or that Nasty simply didn’t rate Malawi.
The online pressure escalated to a point where Gwamba started responding to comments directly, showing clear frustration as critics intensified.
But the narrative took a dramatic turn today when Nasty C finally posted clip of the Malawi show and fans erupted with excitement.
Malawians immediately flooded the comment section, celebrating the recognition and defending Gwamba, saying the post had rescued the Landlord from unnecessary mockery.
Some users had previously speculated that Nasty C’s silence meant he didn’t care about Malawian artists, referencing to what he said on The Jaakev Show where he admitted he didn’t know any musician from Malawi.
But the new post has changed the energy completely, with fans now praising the successful event and the rapper’s gesture.
