Black Missionaries Mourn Death of Sound Engineer Owen Chilongo

The Black Missionaries band has expressed shock over the death of their sound engineer, Owen Chilongo, who passed away at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre after collapsing at his home yesterday.
According to the band’s leader, Anjiru Fumulani, Chilongo was not ill prior to the incident. He collapsed at home and was rushed to QECH, where doctors confirmed his death.
Fumulani said the band is devastated by the loss of Chilongo, describing him as a passionate and hardworking member of their team. “We have lost a very important person,” he added.
The body of the late Owen Chilongo will be transported this afternoon from Mnthuzi Funeral Home to Chemusa’s home in Blantyre.
