Young Driver Dies Following Vehicle Accident In Lilongwe

A 24-year-old man, Harris Musachiwa, has died after the vehicle he was driving overturned several times following a collision with a truck at Baron Estate along the Lilongwe-Kasiya Road.

Musachiwa was driving a Haval hatchback, registration BT 12600, heading from Airwing towards Kasiya when he reportedly lost control due to speeding and veered into the offside lane.

The vehicle then collided with an oncoming Scania truck, registration CK 114/442, causing the Haval to overturn multiple times.

He sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Kamuzu Central Hospital, where he died while receiving treatment.

Musachiwa came from Sipu Village, under Traditional Authority Masula in Lilongwe District.
