Zomba Police Launch Manhunt for Musician Lapken “Lap T” Thole and DJ Lil Over K3 Million Unpaid Lodge Bill

Police in Zomba have launched a manhunt for journalist and musician Lapken Thole, popularly known as Lap T, and his associate DJ Lil, after the two allegedly spent three weeks at a local guest house and fled without paying their bill.

Zomba Police spokesperson Patricia Sipiliano said the duo booked a room at T & D Guest House in Zomba where they reportedly enjoyed full services including food and accommodation but later disappeared without settling the over MK3 million bill.

According to police, the two checked in three weeks earlier and quietly left the premises, prompting the lodge management to report the matter.

Sipiliano has appealed to the public to assist law enforcement with any information that may help locate the two suspects.“Anyone who knows their whereabouts should report to the nearest police station,” she said.

Police say investigations are ongoing.
