Woman Jailed Five Years for Injuring Boyfriend’s Private Parts in Monkey Bay

The First Grade Magistrate’s Court in Monkey Bay has sentenced Regina Justine, 21, to five years’ imprisonment for injuring her client’s private parts.

State prosecutor Lyton Kachindoko told the court that medical reports showed the accused caused injuries measuring half a centimetre in length and a quarter of a centimetre in depth.

In court, the injured man, who is reportedly the boyfriend of the accused, pleaded for leniency, saying he still loves her and asked the court to forgive her.

However, Magistrate Lawrence Mangani said the offence was serious and unacceptable. He sentenced Regina to five years in prison to serve as a deterrent to others with similar intentions.

Regina Justine comes from Kampepuza Village under Traditional Authority Kwataine in Ntcheu District.
