Police Search for Mother of Dumped Baby in Zomba

Police in Zomba say they are still searching for the mother of a baby who was found dumped outside Zomba Police Hospital last week.

Deputy Police Spokesperson Andrew Mwale said investigations into the matter are ongoing.

Mwale added that the baby later died at Zomba General Hospital, where he was taken for medical treatment.

The infant was found alive by members of the public on Thursday morning outside a police station in Zomba town.
