Burundian National Dies in Kasungu Road Accident

Kasungu Police Station has confirmed the death of a 29-year-old Burundian national, identified as Erick Halimana, following a road accident that occurred at Mtondo Village along the Lilongwe–Kasungu M1 Road on Saturday.

According to the station’s Assistant Public Relations Officer, Chifundo Nedi, Halimana was driving from Chinkhoma to Kasungu when he rammed into the back of a truck.

The truck was being driven by Jackings Phiri.

Due to the impact, Halimana sustained severe head injuries and multiple fractures.

He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Kasungu District Hospital.
