Two Arrested in Chiradzulu for Assaulting Widow Over Husband’s Death

Police in Chiradzulu have arrested two men for allegedly assaulting a woman who was blamed for her husband’s suicide.
The incident occurred in Jumbe Village, Traditional Authority Likoswe.
Chiradzulu Police Station spokesperson Hubert Mwangoka said the victim, 41-year-old Enelesi Kachere, was attacked by relatives of her late husband, 45-year-old Graciano Yohane.
Yohane was found dead in his bedroom on November 17, 2025, following a domestic dispute, and a postmortem examination later confirmed that he died by suffocation.
Investigations led to the arrest of Thoko Chinkhali, 27, and Jacob Dominic, 31, both from Mlambula Village, while other suspects remain at large.
The two suspects are expected to appear in court to answer charges of acts intended to cause grievous harm, contrary to Section 254 of the Penal Code.
