Man Arrested For Molesting Minors In Mulanje

Police in Mulanje district have confirmed the arrest of Peter Chimasula, 56, a chief in Mbiza, on charges of having sex with two minors.

Police spokesperson in the district, Innocent Moses, said that on December 25 this year, the 12-year-old children were playing with a young boy near the chief’s house and the chief asked the children to follow him to the Mbiza Church.

However, on the way, the chief allegedly gave the boy K500 to return home and then the chief took the opportunity to have sex with the children.

Chimasula is from the Chikumbu chiefdom in Mulanje district and will soon appear in court to answer charges of having sex with minors.
