Goshen City has announced the end of its collaboration with the Film Association of Malawi (FAMA) following an internal review of its partnerships.
In a statement, the organization said the decision forms part of a strategic realignment aimed at allowing both parties to pursue their objectives independently.
Goshen City emphasized that the move does not reflect negatively on FAMA or its contribution to the development of Malawi’s film industry.
The management reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth of the country’s creative and cultural sectors.
It also stated that it remains open to future collaborations that align with its values and governance standards.
Goshen City, which is owned by Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, confirmed that its earlier pledge to support a film production project remains in place.
The statement added that although the partnership with FAMA has ended, the project will continue through other appropriate channels.
