Mutharika Appoints Maria Ndasowa Mainja as Presidential Advisor on Safe Motherhood

President Peter Mutharika has appointed Maria Ndasowa Mainja as Presidential Advisor on Safe Motherhood, with immediate effect.
The appointment was announced in a statement signed by Chief Secretary to the Government, Justin Saidi.
According to the statement, the President exercised his powers under Section 89 (1) (d) of the Constitution of the Republic of Malawi to make the appointment.
