Nurse Anaesthetist at Chikwawa DHO Killed in Road Accident

The death has been announced of a young nurse anaesthetist, Yankho Khungwa, who was working at Chikwawa District Health Office (DHO).
He died following a motorcycle road accident that occurred at Dyeratu in Chikwawa District.
Yankho completed his nursing studies at St. Joseph’s College of Health Sciences from 2016 to 2019 before further specializing in anaesthesia at the Malawi College of Health Sciences.
He was a devoted Christian who served as the youth chairperson for St. Augustine Outstation under St. Michael’s Parish at Chikwawa Cathedral.
His body is currently lying at Mthunzi Mortuary.
It will be collected this morning and taken to Chikhambi Village, behind Chikwawa Secondary School, under Senior Chief Kasisi, where burial will take place tomorrow.
