Man Dies After Vehicle Carrying Maize Collides with Parked Car in Ntcheu

A 27-year-old man, Chimwemwe Dazi, has died following a road accident that occurred in Balaka Village in Ntcheu District.
Ntcheu Police spokesperson Jacob Khembo said the accident occurred at around 4:00am on Tuesday. The deceased was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Wyson Samuel.
Khembo said the vehicle, which was carrying 90 bags of maize and was heading towards Chingeni, collided with another vehicle that had been parked near an engine generator after developing a fault.
As a result of the collision, Chimwemwe sustained injuries to his arm and leg, as well as internal injuries. Well-wishers rushed him to Balaka District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The deceased hailed from Malemera Village in Traditional Authority Ngabu, Chikwawa District.
