Man Arrested For Raping 5-Year-Old Daughter In Chikwawa

Ngabu Police have arrested a 38-year-old man, Langford Ogilasi, from Kalu village, Ngabu chiefdom in Chikwawa district, for raping his five-year-old daughter.

Speaking to the Chikwawa police spokesperson, Dickson Matemba, he said the man raped the child on January 15 while the child’s mother was at work.

Matemba said when the mother arrived at the house, she found the child crying and with a wound on her forehead.

When she asked the father, he said he was playing with his friends.

They said that upon examining him, they found him bleeding from a private area and rushed him to the hospital where doctors confirmed that he had been raped.

The suspect is expected to appear in court for child abuse.
