Zomba Police Recover Stolen Property After Break-In at Canadian National’s Residence

Police in Zomba have successfully recovered a cache of stolen electronic and solar equipment following a break-in at the home of a Canadian national in September 2025.

Zomba Police Publicist, Patricia Sipiliano,confirmed the arrest and identified the suspect as Maxwell Sapul,24.

According to Sipiliano, the incident occurred on September 11, 2025, when suspects targeted the residence of Dean Badcock. The intruders managed to escape with several high-value items, including: One MacBook laptop, One Samsung Galaxy mobile phone, Two large solar panels and a set of screwdriver bits

Following an intensive investigation, police apprehended one suspect. Sipiliano confirmed that all the stolen properties have since been recovered by authorities.

While one individual is in custody, police are currently tracking a second accomplice who remains at large. Investigations are ongoing to ensure the remaining suspect is brought to justice.
