Saif al-Islam Gaddafi Shot Dead in Libya

Unknown assailants have shot and killed Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the son of former Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
According to reports by the BBC, Saif al-Islam, aged 58, was widely viewed as a potential successor to his father during Gaddafi’s rule.
The BBC reports that four armed attackers carried out the killing at his home in the city of Zintan, Libya. The motive behind the attack remains unknown.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
